You can invest in the finest skincare in the world, but if you apply products in the wrong order they’ll never reach their full impact. Check out the included diagram to get a better idea of what order you should apply your skincare products in, and about how much (may vary depending on your skin type).
The golden rule of thumb: apply lightest to heaviest.
Layer 1: Toner
After cleansing away all the grime on your face (AKA dirt, makeup, and sebum), apply a dime-sized amount of toner (such as Kiki’s Rebalancing Lotion) to your face and leave it damp on the skin. Toner has a very thin consistency, feeling very similar to water. Serum helps to deliver the ingredients in your serum deeper into your skin, making sure your skin is soaking in all the benefits!
Layer 2: Serum
With a dime-sized dollop, serum should always be applied to the skin while it’s still damp so that it seals in moisture. Different serums offer different benefits to your skin, so look for ingredients that are beneficial to your skin type, such as peptides for firming, hyaluronic acid for hydrating, stem cells and anti-oxidents for repairing your skin and vitamin c and daisy flower extract for brightening. Serums are treatment products, which means you need to use them on a daily basis in order to see significant results. We suggest Kiki’s Resurfacing Fruit Serum, Kiki’s Brightening Serum, Kiki’s Anti-Aging Retinol Fluid, and Kiki’s Anti-Aging Peptide Serum.
Layer 3: Moisturizer
Take a nickel-sized dollop of moisturizer and smooth it all over your face. Moisturizer protects your skin and doubles as a sealant, penetrating into your skin for maximum benefits. For sensitive, acne-prone skin, we recommend Kiki’s Clarifying Cream. For combination skin, we recommend Kiki’s Rebalancing Cream and for dry, or aging skin, we recommend Kiki’s Nourishing Cream.
Layer 4: Eye Cream
Most eye creams are heavier and more concentrated than regular moisturizer—a pea-sized amount is plenty to use underneath the eyes. We suggest Kiki’s Anti-Aging Peptide Eye Cream.
Layer 5: SPF
This step should NEVER be skipped! Apply a nickel-sized dollop to your face and it will act as a barrier against the sun’s harmful rays. Applying anti-aging products can only do so much to protect your skin from the effects of aging. Sunscreen will protect your skin from sun spots, wrinkles and serious damage, keeping your skin looking youthful and healthy. We suggest the Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 33.
