A Time to Pause

While we are at home social distancing, disinfecting, keeping aware of the current news, working online, homeschooling, and praying for normalcy soon, don’t neglect to take some time for you.

Here are some of our self-care skin tips while we spend time safely at home:

• Don’t forget to wash your face two times a day!
• In the morning, use products that will protect your skin regardless of the climate or whether you are staying indoors or heading outside for fresh air. Vitamin C and a broad-spectrum SPF will protect against premature aging. UVA rays can penetrate through windows! In the evening or at the end of your day, apply products to nourish and replenish your skin.
• Have dryness and dehydrated skin? Use a product that contains hyaluronic acid to address the problem. Also, hydrate the whole body by drinking lots of H2O.
• Allow yourself enough sleep to relieve stress and to help the immune system stay healthy.
• Limiting screen time is not just for the kids. Bending your head down to look at your screens causes wrinkling on your neck, a.k.a. tech neck! Take breaks to rest your neck, eyes, and mind.
• Washing hands has become an essential safeguard. After 20 seconds of thorough washing, wipe your hands gently, then apply hand moisturizer while they are still damp to allow product to penetrate the skin. The same applies to the whole body, using a body cream or lotion after bathing.
